For 20 years, I have served the citizens of Tehama County in a variety of positions; most relevantly, Assistant Auditor for 11 years, and Auditor Accountant for 4 years. As Assistant Auditor, my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of staff – providing oversight, review and encouraging professional advancement – overseeing all aspects of the office including payroll, accounts payable, accounting services, and Department budgeting, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and the annual audit of Countywide financial reporting. My experience also provides me the knowledge necessary to assist County Departments, agencies and special districts with issues related to reporting, budgets, audits and providing general guidance. I have taken the lead in upgrading financial software and implementing budget software, and serve as an administrator for both programs. Additionally, I have worked closely with the Administration on issues ranging from budgets to personnel policies.
This experience, coupled with my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, make me uniquely qualified to serve as the County’s Chief Financial Officer.
It is with great pleasure that I run for the office of Auditor-Controller! I am dedicated to honoring the public’s trust and am committed to serving Tehama County with honesty and integrity and would appreciate your vote.
